Note: When cleaning ostrich feathers, use a soft, dry paintbrush to gently brush away dust. Add hot water to a bowl with soap (any household product should work fine) and swish the feathers through the water. Repeat until the feathers look clean. Replace the soapy water with fresh, clean water. Swish the feathers through again to rinse away any remaining soap. Dry the feathers by hanging them and letting them drip, or by partially drying with a hairdryer.
